LIFE CYCLE

I am an independent lifecycle officiant with many years of experience working in traditional Jewish institutions and privately in spiritual leadership and educational roles. I conduct B mitzvah, weddings, funerals and baby namings, working with each family and individual to create a ritual that best suits their specific needs. My approach is heavily based in music, poetry and writing creative liturgy, while drawing from a myriad of Jewish sources.

B Mitzvah offerings:

For families looking to have a non-traditional service in a setting of their choosing, I work one on one with each student to assist with prayers, writing d'vrei torah, and guiding families in creating services and prayer booklets. Students are invited to create a Saturday morning mincha or evening ma’ariv/havdalah service.

Weddings:

Work with any couple who choose to make the commitment of marriage in a Jewish ceremony. Together, we will create a meaningful ritual as you enter into the covenant of marriage.

Funerals:

Perform the rites of burial in the Jewish tradition for unaffiliated Jews with an attention to each families' individual needs.

Baby namings:

Create a personalized ritual in collaboration with parents as they enter a baby or young child into the Jewish community.

Other creative rituals:

Available to plan and lead creative Jewish rituals for life events such as gender transition, healing from loss, life transitions.
